I really hate SEO. But it was just one of those things I used to do since it was an absolutely necessity. Tools like Senuke really made life a lot easier but until I met this little tool InsaneBacklinks(dot)com

Come on guys, it is all so obvious. If a link is useful for what you are doing it will be good. If it helps the user because it extends the value of the page it is good. At some point, Google will recognise this fact. In that scheme, just ignore the PR crap while you are doing.

It would be so nice if there was a pre-existing network for niche’s.. otherwise it’s just random blasting. Having knowledgeable, friendly, respectful networks who appreciate good quality content. It’s nearly impossible to get links for specific industries, especially regional topics in smaller towns.

I did not even realize this was the official Google Webmaster channel LOL! One good way to get backlinks is to basically own the internet. I think the perspective from the top of the food chain is different than the bottom where most of us are. Just writing good content is not enough in this noisy environement. It might have been 5 years ago. For someone to come from nothing they need an edge. I see plenty of very good content on lonely blogs and lightweight content on highly trafficked blogs.

You mean cyber illiterates like Nick Usborne who’s pulling in !0G’s a month on a content-based website that he’s doing just for fun?
I’m not going to waste my time trying to convince you but I can show you numbers where sites with well-themed content outranks websites with 50 times the backlinks.
The net is first,last and always about information; it’s not a pissing contest to see who can wrangle the most “this way” signs to his or her website.
My guess is you just don’t like to write.

Is this for real? You show me one of the top ten listings for “payday loans” that utilizes any of these tactics. Seriously, this is horrible advice to get a site RANKED – if you aren’t actively going out and finding ways to get links to your website on a regular basis (paid or free) you better start paying for your visitors… or get a day job.
